SESSION ONE
Learning
This is session one. It covers the importance of learning as a disciple of Jesus. It’s a good place to start. All our development in faith and character require a bit of learning.
SESSION TWO
Hope
The second session covers hope. The big-picture hope that Jesus proclaims and the small-picture hope we live out in little doses every day.
SESSION THREE
Love
This is the third session. It’s on love. Why did we put it third when it’s the biggest theme in the Bible? Probably because we love a build-up.
SESSION FOUR
Forgiveness
Of course, love has its limits. In this session we look at forgiveness. What do you do when those you love don’t love you back?
SESSION FIVE
Gratitude
Saying thanks is good for us. Not just for the people we thank. But for those who do the thanking. The Bible offer us a masterclass in giving thanks to God.
SESSION SIX
Humour
It’s great to have a laugh. But there are different forms of humour. Some of them delight us and lead to our wellbeing. Others destroy and diminish our relationships.
SESSION SEVEN
Persistence
Keep going. By this stage in the Character Course, that might be the message you need to hear. Endurance. Perseverance. Patience.
SESSION EIGHT
Curiosity
Session eight. This is the end of the Character Course. But not really. We started with learning and we end with curiosity. Just as we never stop learning in God, we never stop seeking after God either.
